I accidentally looked at an enderman that was really far away (yay optifine I can’t see that far anymore wh ffff) and the bastard started coming after me until I flailed my sword at him a little bit and he zapped away and I went into a little hidey-hole
then the sun came up and he started teleporting all over the place around me without actually attacking me even though he had his mouth open still
when he finally disappeared seemingly for good I went in my house and found a block of dirt right next to my bed
